Your ‘Business’ and Mine are the Same

Once, when Saint Baba Maharaj Arvikar was in Machnur, a well known politician came to meet him. 

Baba was peacefully sitting outside the hall, in an open area. 

The politician was blunt, and spoke only about business and money. He extremely bluntly said to Baba, “What Maharaj, by growing your beard and hair, you are doing such good roleplaying. Get all the nearby people to become your followers and secretly con them. There is no business as great as this charlatanism. What do you think?”

Baba moved closer to him and in a conspiratorial tone, said, “You’re so right! Without doing all these things how will people fall for these tricks/traps/cons. Listen to this, you stay here for a few days, turn people into followers and once they’re in our nets, we can take all their valuables in our possession. And one day, run away without telling anyone. But don’t tell anyone this. I shared this special secret with you, because true ‘business’ people take care of each other.”

Then, Baba brought his mouth closer to the politicians ear and whispered, “At the end, your business and mine, are the same: to trap/fool others, right?”

He said these words in such a tone that the politician immediately realized his mistake. He held Baba’s feet and then left. But what was important was that the man who left was not the same man who had arrived!

Only saints can bring about a change in a person with any type of attitude or disposition. 

Saint Baba Maharaj Arvikar says, “Every person who comes here, has been sent by god, that is my sentiment.” Anyone who comes here will at some point or another are fulfilled through blessings.
