Saints say that the relationship between a Sadguru and their disciple is one of an unconditional/without expectations guru and attached (asakta) disciple. Such a pairing of paramartha is in service of the welfare of the whole world.
One of Saint Baba Maharaj Arvikar’s close disciples in Solapur, Shri Mohalkar, said that sometimes Baba would suddenly say something that no one really understood.
Once, while he and some other sadhaks were with Baba, suddenly, Baba said, “I am no one’s and no one is mine.”
Shri Balasaheb Mohalkar was saddened upon hearing Baba say that so quickly and he immediately said to Baba, “If no one is yours, then whose are we, Baba?”
Baba looked at him with so much compassion, hugged him, and still holding him, said, “Arey, no no. You are all mine only. I am yours.”
Everyone was immediately happy!
In his sacred text Divyamritdhara, Saint Baba Maharaj Arvikar says that in the different relationships within the world, to the extent that awarenesses (janeeva) of beings become centered/focused in worldly/transactional life (vyavahar), a being receives bliss (anand) from cosmic/universal substances to that extent. But because the dharana shakti in the awareness (janeev) of the Sadguru is extremely vast the awareness (janeev) of the whole universe/cosmos and that which resides in the universe/cosmos have become centered/focused in that of the Sadguru. Therefore they are bliss form (anandroop).
